Cyprus

Cyprus, the birthplace of Aphrodite, is an archaeological treasure-trove with many sites to visit across the island, from tombs and mosaics to churches and monasteries.  So whether you wish to walk in the pine-clad Troodos Mountains or lounge on one of the many beautiful sandy beaches, Cyprus is the place to head for a family holiday. Paphos is the historical centre of the island and very popular with families but perhaps you would prefer something a little quieter like Polis & Latchi or Protaras.

Limassol is the second largest city in Cyprus and is a welcoming place for a family holiday. The bay stretches for miles either side of the city consisting of man-made and gently sloping beaches.

If you are looking for something a little livelier then Ayia Napa is the party capital of the island and a fantastic choice for an active family holiday and for beach lovers alike. At night the clubs spring into life in the town centre making it a definite hit for families with older children.

Flying to Cyprus

Cyprus is served by two international airports, Paphos and Larnaca, both of which are frequented by flights from the UK.  If you don’t mind around an hour’s transfer time it is feasible to fly into either regardless of your final destination.
