The small island of Kos offers the family holidaymaker a wealth of luscious soft beaches and for those who like to explore, tiny yet beautiful traditional villages.
Half of the Kos coastline is given to the beach, be it velvet-soft or pretty shingle. The resorts of Kos are cunningly placed almost directly on the beach and Mastihari, with its delicate white sands and eucalyptus trees making it almost Caribbean, is no exception.
The resort itself is little more than an old port and has a very relaxed demeanour, with the emphasis on chilled out days on the beach and a good meal in the evening. Kos does, however, have a happening side to it and the resorts of Kos Town and Kardemena are in stark contrast, packed with bars and clubs and lively daytime activities.
