Despite it’s rightful claim to be the party capital of Europe, the Balearic island of Ibiza has a great deal to offer the family holiday, especially those seeking lazy, clean beaches.
In fact, Ibiza can boast resorts to suit everyone and with over 60 white sandy beaches there is plenty of room for the family to relax or the clubber to chill out after a night’s partying!
The most family-friendly resorts are San Antonio Bay (not to be confused with San Antonio Town!), which has something to suit all tastes, and the smaller resorts of Puerto San Miguel, Santa Eulalia, Es Cana and Cala Llonga. These four smaller resorts all have a much more relaxed approach to nightlife but don’t skimp on the beautiful beaches and welcoming cafe bars.
San Antonio Town, Playa d’en Bossa and Ibiza Town are home to the biggest clubs and are thus the liveliest resorts. These resorts are easily accessible from the airport – in fact the compact size of the island keeps transfer times down.
At the northern tip of Ibiza is Portinatx, a resort popular with families with plenty of restaurants and bars to keep the evenings lively. The beach here is split into three lovely bays with fine sand.
The nightlife in Ibiza, as already mentioned, is legendary. For entertainment by day, try a boat trip on the Mediterranean or a visit to the wild Aquamar Water Park!
