Virgin Atlantic
Here at Two Point More Children we love Virgin Atlantic, having used them for a recent family holiday to New York.
Virgin Atlantic provide a high-quality long-haul service with many of their aircraft having recently been refurbished. Seat pitch in economy is adequate but we prefer, for a few pounds extra, the excellent Premium Economy cabin with its larger, more comfortable seats.
Virgin Atlantic also have a class-leading bed seat in its Upper Class cabin and we were fortunate enough to sample this whilst travelling with our children (aged 7 years, 4 years and 9 months). The cabin crew could not do enough to make the kids comfortable and there was even sufficient space for the baby when turbulence required him to be removed from his bassinet.
The only minor irritant when travelling with babies is that the bassinet (for which you do not require an additional seat) is not guaranteed. With only limited numbers available in each cabin we recommend that you book as early as possible where practical as preference is given to those with very small babies followed by those who book first!
