Location and transfers
The Emirate of Fujairah is on the Indian Ocean and its port serves the Indian continent with oil and other goods from the Emirates. As a result, temperatures are slightly lower than those of Dubai, making Fujairah a slightly more appealing destination for a luxury family holiday and a light breeze often helps to cool visitors and residents – but as with any of its UAE neighbours the heat and humidity can be overpowering. To get to Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort, fly into Dubai for a 90-minute ride across the desert – the hotel can arrange very reasonably priced transfers for you and a welcome orange juice and cool face towel will await your arrival!
