The airlines may compensate you if you’re baggage joins the ‘unclaimed’ mountain of luggage but you are unlikely to recoup the full losses. We advise that you study the policy carefully before purchase, as excesses, amounts of cash covered and exclusions can vary greatly. Annual multi-trip policies are excellent value for anybody who travels more than once per year.
