The Paphos region of Cyprus, on the south-west side of the island, is a hugely popular destination for family holidays, packed with beautiful mini-resorts and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site thanks to its myriad of archaeological sites.
Paphos, the region capital, is popular for its range of restaurants and shops and is served by an international airport with frequent flights from several UK airports.
The resort boasts a fine range of hotels with beach access to cater for all tastes and budgets, many with spa facilities. Local attractions include the Tombs of the Kings, the Super Aphrodite Waterpark, Aquarium and the Paphos Mosaics. Close by is the birthplace of Aphrodite and local wineries are plentiful.
Nightlife in Paphos is as varied as you would like it to be – for the younger family holiday this might be dinner and a drink in one of the many bars and those who enjoy the late night scene can select from the many clubs and bars on Agiou Antoniou, known as ‘Bar Street’.
