Florida has become a very popular destination for British family holidays and is blessed with blue skies, sunshine and a host of theme parks to suit every taste.
Given the sheer size of the state and the attractions that are available a fly-drive is a good option - for those flying into Miami or Orlando a car is almost a pre-requisite as the beach resorts are some distance from the airports and the Disney parks are spread out for miles.
Florida's Disney (and other) attractions complement the beaches that stretch for mile after mile. The Keys stretching away from Miami offer fantastic family fun and are loaded with water sports and activities. For family holidays, we recommend the Upper and Lower Keys. Miami itself is glitzy and very lively but still has plenty of activities, including the excellent new Miami Children's Museum, to keep them entertained.
